Forum for Young Chinese Constitutional Law Scholars

To promote the constitutional development of China and help breed a new generation of Chinese constitutional scholars, HKU has had an active role in organizing the Forum for Young Chinese Constitutional Law Scholars (中國憲法青年學者論壇) on 22-23 January 2010. Seventeen young scholars from mainland China and Hong Kong were invited to participate in the conference, and among them, six were the PhD candidates of our Faculty. A number of reputable Chinese constitutional law scholars including Professor Zhou Wei from Sichuan University were invited to comment on the papers presented by the young scholars and engaged in serious discussion with them. Dr Zhu Guobin from the School of Law at City University of Hong Kong and Professor Albert Chen from our Faculty were invited to give keynote speeches at the Forum.
