Legal Education Fund Summer Internship

法律教育基金主辦:香港法律學生暑期內地實習

The Legal Education Fund Summer Internship Program is a comprehensive internship program intended for law students in Hong Kong to gain hands-on experience working in courts in China. The program is organized by the Legal Education Fund, a registered charity tasked with promoting legal education and promoting exchange between scholars and practitioners in Hong Kong and the mainland.

Prior to embarking on their internships, students spend two weeks at the China University of Political Science and Law in Beijing where they study a range of topics on PRC law including Chinese legal history, commercial law, civil law, criminal law and training on national affairs. The program, which began in 2011, has placed students in courts at various levels in Shanghai, Beijing, Wuhan, Nanjing and Hangzhou.

During their internships, students are given the opportunity to participate in a range of activities that expose them to the inner workings of their respective courts. Students are also supervised by a  judge who guides them through their experience and engages in small group discussions about ongoing cases.
